My Evo 5 - first Evo

My new "daily" driver (cycle to work most days!)

1998 Mitsubishi Evo V, Scotia White, 75k, Import certificate, every MOT since import!, HUGE history. Same owner last 5 years.

Mods are Tein coilovers, fast geo set up, 3 inch HKS Exhaust, Apexi induction kit, uprated fuel pump etc and is running 349bhp with print out to prove. Running 1.8 bar. 17 Rota alloy wheels with Bridgestone potenzas. Rear brakes are the standard Brembos. Fronts are K sport 8 pots.

Inside is all standard bar the head unit and an OMP steering wheel and Defi gauges on the pillar and a boost adjuster. Got the private plate too

Paint is in very good condition, just a few wee stone chips.

Nice choice! Looks like you've bought a well spec'd one.

Sounds like low horsepower for the boost pressure though mine is at 1.7-1.8 peak and is more than 350bhp :twisted:

It had a map tweak a little after the RR so is running slightly more but didn't want to post a guesstimate and have the bhp hounds attack me!

Got a charity RR day on the 17th of August so get a true reading then

There's none of those here

Just be careful pushing the boost any further as its on its limits at 1.8 bar mine hit that quite regularly but I ended up let Simon@NTS turn it down a tad more to 1.7 just to give it a rest :twisted:

Yours must go really well at that though, what's it like compared to the scoob?

I miss the Scoob warble and my type R had the dccd which was fun.

The power in this car is certainly a lot more linear and the old man in me (30 next month ) quite likes the fact it's loud and sounds good but doesn't make all on my neighbours (I stay in a courtyard) hate me

I don't think I'm crazy either but the car seens to be getting a lot more admiring looks than any of my scoobs did??

An Evo will get more looks than a Scooby as they are two a penny.
