well after i got it, i did a few trips to york and got 12.8 quarter, which i wasnt really satisfied with as my previous pulsar was faster than that. so then got it mapped by jamie@evotune ditched the crappy gizmo and fitted a 3 port as it wasnt holding boost and it was off down to usc 2011 for the weekend where i ran a 12.4 :) (getting happier at this point )

then towards the end of summer 2011 i decided to splash out on a brand new 80 series turbo from indigo gt...fitted that and it was back off to jamie for another map. car put out 418bhp :)
round our way the car community are a good bunch and im always having banter with the scooby lads. at this point i was .2 second behind the quickest scooby in our clique. so two weeks after the map york was only a few days away and i was itching to get it on the strip again, as i knew i would have been ahead of the scooby lads this time haha.....but disaster....... my rs gearbox shat itself in spectacular fashion, wiping out all gears apart from 5th. so off with the box and noticed that my act clutch was shot aswell :(
i rang around frantically all day and no one had a clutch they could get to me before the race. luckily jamie had a twin plate exedy on the shelf but it was les'. quick call to les' and thankfully les let me buy it off him. last day before the race and the car running poor. back off to jamies and the ecu has **** itself and wont hold the new map. so yet again jamie to the rescue again sorting me out a new ecu

finally got down to the races and got quickest of the day with an 11.84@117 a 1.69 60 foot and a 3.43 0-60mph. was mega happy. and i was .6 seconds quicker than the quickest scooby still so i now had the evo versus scooby crown :)

anyway a few month later, im out enjoy the cold air on high boost in 4th gear when the oil light flickers and theres an immense tapping. i knew instantly my big ends had gone. its an unmistakeable noise as im sure many of you know. i limped home and the next day inspected the damage. id totaklly spun number one big end bearing. the bottom half of the bearing had span to the top bearing and welded its self to it!

i'd preempted some sort of failure as i was on stock internals running pretty large amount of power now. soi went an sourced another block just incase  turned out to be a good move!

seeing as the engine needed a full rebuild i thought i may as well go the whole hog. so i got in touch with ross from ross sport and ordered a full stroker kit with 87mm custom cp pistons with r and r i beam rods. got grant from gb enterprises to land me a very nice gtx3582r billet turbo and indigo gt some 280 degree brian crower cams ;)

best place to gap your rings...in your front room haha

evo8 10.5t turbo vs my gtx

i realised pretty soon on into the build that i didnt have the cash to complete the build and have amy own house. so the decision was made to give up my rented house, nights out, give up women and parties and pretty much all my privacy and freedom and move back in with my parents! not an easy feat i tell you and a little embarressing im a father and .....im 30 soon!

so with a load of ready available cash i knuckled down into the build with my cheapo halfords tool kit and cracked on with the build. and finally today it was finished!

proud is not the word. the local scooby lads are into the high tens now. 10.9 i think. so after its ran in ill get some id2000's on it, and a walbro 400lph and get it back upto jamies place and see if i can get reclaim my crown hahaha. aiming for over 650bhp at least :)

so as of today the spec stands like this

stunning spec. and having had your own house and having an evo with that spec at 30 is staggering!! i bought my evo standard at 29 and people were amazed i managed to insure it lol
hope to have a house by the time i'm 40 (5 years time) but thats a bit optimistic as all my money goes on my diving trips, the car, nights out and rent for my apartment which ironically would cost me less to just buy outright haha
bet it shifts!

Cheers lads, I'm just lucky I live in Middlesbrough tbh. Housing is so damn cheap lol. A few years ago the council was selling off houses for £1. Well my bad luck has continued today. Took it for some fresh fuel and the core plug on the water pump blew outand dunped all my coolant Grrr. So in need of a core plug. No local motor factors have any, is it a Mitsubishi part?

Got it up to 694bhp and 620 lbft as well was great. But in the space of a month I've done a transfer box, the twin plate isnt enough and ive blew the rings on piston number 2. I can't afford to maintain it anymore and it's impacting financially on my family so it's time to recoup some cash :(
