My brake keeps seizing up.

I've had someone look at it & change the flexy pipe on the front drivers side of the car and it just keep locking up straight back up. Has this happened to anyone on here? Anyone got any idea what the problem is?

have the pistons inside the caliper been checked, sounds like a sticky piston...

Yes, he said there was 4 pistosn & they where working perfectly. He cleaned everything down and the brakes & discs are brand new (it was happening when the old ones were on). It's gradually got worse over the past month.

difficult to know without seeing it...lol... try bleeding the whole system again might just be a bit of trapped air in there......

Apparently he's 100% sure it's not the Caliper.

if youve changed the flexi(with a new one not 2nd hand)then defo looks like its the caliper,pistons sticking when warm,sliders seized blah blah blah

If its doing it only in one wheel then it has to be the calliper.

That's what i thought as well mate, i'm going to take it to someone who knows what they're doing to replace it.

Don't mess about bud it will be the caliper.

Possibly the pad sticking on the sliders, but more likely the pistons.

You can't tell until you've taken the pistons out if there's corrosion on them (there will be) so it's refurb/build time for them.

Get Marios bought freshly done too and the car they came off is a minter

Took the caliper to Evo tune in Durham and it wasn't the caliper, which suprised me. Had someone drain the brake fluid and still seizing, going to have to take the car through Evo tune. I'll let everyone know the outcome incase you ever get the same problem, thanks for help.

so for proper diagnosis?
with all 4 wheels off ground apply brake release brake,then what happens? 1 wheel locked/sticking or 2 wheels sticking ie front left and right rear
or does it just lock a wheel on the road if so which one

I don't have the equipment to get all 4 wheels off the floor, only one wheel locks. It's my front drivers side and only when I've drove it for 10/15 mins. The brake pad gets higher & higher until it won't push down and struggles to brake at all.

if its only one wheel locking after you drive it and the caliper is warm, so it could be the caliper,might be the caliper but most likely its the caliper,or could even be the caliper

I've took it to 3 different garages, Evo tune was the last one 3 days ago & they all say it's not the caliper. It's the brake disc that heats up the most, then the alloy. Apparently it could be something further in the car.

One garage asked me to find out the problem then go back. I'm pretty confident Evotune will fix the problem.
