my baby isthe garage!

after a whole year i have finally got the evo in the garage and her new engine is going in on tues! the recovery bloke came and picked it up yesterday and delivered her to my mates garage.

iv got a evo 5 engine, 6 turbo, exedy stage 1 clutch, forge recirculating dump valve and hopefully a walbro fuel pump (if i can find 1!) going in.

its taken me a year due to me loosing hours at my work, my missus going mad of xmas prezzies and some........ how shall i say it??.....c**k selling me a duff engine from fleebay.

spoke to my mechanic on friday, he is gona start it tues and recons by weds he is gona have it going!! gotta get a mot and a vallet then its just waiting for dan from aplan to get me some insurance and then tax. im hoping she be on the road by next weekend! fingers crossed!!!

latest update, went to the garage tues to see how it was all going, have the parts hadnt turned up but my man was stripping down the new engine and cleaning it up. i decided while the engine was out, id give the bay a bit of a clean as oil had gone every where.

i then took the head off the old engine to see what had gone wrong, one of the spark plugs was completely distroyed which my mechanic told me was detonation, i then looked at the piston and it had a 2mm gap all the way round with three hot spots that had blown holes and the cilinder had bits of piston welded to it!!

so we came to the conclusion that i needed new injectors as well so iv got 6 (VI) injectors and ecu to go on.

my mechanic also showed me my intercooler which had a hole in it so got a new one of them with hard pipes!!

he phoned me tosay and told me my actuator was buggered as well but luckyly i got a new one with the turbo i bought!

on the plus side i found out i had a lightened flywheel that came with the engine!!

so the new list is:

5 engine
6 turbo
6 injectors
6 ecu
exedy stage 1 clutch
lightened flywheel
forge dump valve
walbro fuel pump
decat
all going on as we speak!!

new update, car is done and saled through its MOT, just need the decat and fuel pump to go on and then its finished.

few problems though, the number plate came up as a 2006 black evo and mine is 1997 red evo???? and the main problem is iv now run out of cash so i cant tax or insure it!!!!

went to the garage after work just as they were finishing the fuel pump, she goes like a rocket, alot quicker than before. just gota get her taxed and insured now.
