Here's what I've been up to lately.
I was at the SIDC track day on the 22nd of June, it was wet.
I managed to get a little session with a bit of a dry line but it never lasted long. It was my first time out with my new coil overs on, I knew they were too hard and I could have adjusted them but I was having so much fun I left them :D

I had a great day, had a few wobble's and although I came close a few times managed to stay on,
mostly :whistling:

After the SIDC day I went on holiday for a week but then just after I got home I had a Track Scotland night booked as well.
This time I couldn't have asked for better weather so I got to really feel the benefit of my stiffer set up. I'm still not 100% with them as they still need set up properly but compared to my tired old shocks and springs there is a massive improvement.

Here's an earlier session I had

And a later one

I have another day booked at the new Drift land track coming up then after that its the start the herring season so I will have to go out and do some work for a while :p

Here's an update on how my car has come along this year and the stage it is at now :)
Since buying the car I think I have done about 15 track days in it so obviously there has been some wear and tear issues but so far it has done well.
After the MLR dyno. day at Wallace performance at the start of the year it was clear there was a problem with it as it only made about 280bhp.
Martin did a bit of fault finding and it was clear that it was the turbo that was to blame, for whatever reason it was weak and I wasn't willing to trust it so it had to go.
I went for an Evo 9 type kit from Ross sport as I thought it would suit my needs.
I got hold of another couple of bits before the mapping, a Neverneverman induction pipe and battery relocation kit and a 3" downpipe as the std. one was still fitted.
It was a Scorpion downpipe I went for but it was just junk, It arrived last minute and there is no way it would or could be made to fit properly so I had to get it mapped with the std. one.
Matty from Wallace did the mapping work and it made about 360bhp, it was a massive improvement on what I had been running but annoying that such an obvious restriction was still in place.
That was just before Spa so it was great to get it over there and get a proper feel for it, although Spa is not ideal for the RS box as it ran out of gearing in a couple of places.
When I was there though I felt that the std. shocks were struggling, this picture from the day shows that.

I went for HSD Monopro and so far I am impressed, I have not long had the Geometry done and I still feel that they need to be played with a bit but compared to the tired 16 year old shocks that were on they are great.
I knew I wouldn't be happy until I had another mapping session done so after a proper downpipe was sourced and another couple of bits and pieces it was back to Matty, things were going fine but then in the final stages of mapping the clutch started slipping.
A few weeks later it was back through with an Exedy twin plate fitted, it went very well and is now making I think 406/360 ish.
I have only had it out once since to the Track Scotland day at Knockhill on the 2nd of November but it was a bit of a monsoon so I never got the full feel of the car, it managed to spin the wheels in 5th up the straight though :D.
I've just spent nearly 3 days cleaning it and it is looking well, I was sick taking it back outside when I was finished as it was such a horrible day but I just went for it and had fun on the way home and ended up with mud sprayed up the sides.
The crappy phone pics don't do it justice

As far as I'm concerned I have the perfect car for my needs just now, there is no more power to be had from the 2.0 and everything else seems to be working well.
Now its just me that's the weak link so roll on next year so I can get back out and learn how to use it better, then I might find something else is lacking, who knows ;)

Saturday was the first time out of the year for me at the Track Scotland day at Knockhill.
The weather was perfect so I finally got a chance to stretch its legs since all the upgrades last year.
There is a noticeable improvement, not only power wise but it eats up the corners with a lot less drama now as well.
My Vbox has played up again so I've no data to compare but I know by feel alone that it was probably my quickest day so far :D
I was getting a bit of a rumble when turning in hard on the hairpin more so as the day went on and the outer edge of both pass. side tyres are shot so something is not right
I dropped it in to Martin today so its in the right hands, will soon find out the score, hopefully its nothing much.

I was back down to Knockhill on the 11th for a full day track day.
It was my first time back on track with the Evo since my Ring Spa trip with the big Nissan back in May so it felt a bit strange for a start but I'm sure I've made the right choice in the car I've kept out of the two :D.
I'm not 100% with the way its acting though, it seems to lunge to the right a bit when acceleration and when heavy braking the weight seems to transfer too much to the front so the back end goes light.
Because of this I cant say I made the most of the cracking weather and ended up packing up early but still had fun.
Here's a few vids.

I have a good wobble at about 4.45 on this one, no harm done :whistling:
