Can we move the how to guides so there easier to find or re-title the tech section so it says

Technical /How to guides (or something like that )

as it is now its really hard to find and the how to guides are getting lost

glad the support for this is strong...it does annoy me tbh that people (ME included) spend alot of time when doing jobs taking photos then writing it all up for other members only for it to be lost in the forum , hidden amongst the tech section....I wont be doing anymore till its moved folks as it really does grate on me ...RANT OVER LOL

No.. just an extra section in the tech section called "how to" and dedicated towards how tos only- with or without user commentary and an option for the original poster to improve or edit the how to based on results/results+complications that occur later on.

or if they found an easier way based n their own findings or through feedback from users using the how-tos and improving them.

^^doesnt that sound legal-techy?^^

You see that's made me even more confizzled. I know it doesn't take much:D
That's what I originally thought was been asked for but then there is just that exact section. Have I screwed the permissions up? Do others not see this section How To - Evo Owners Forum in the tech section?

I think sub category's should be displayed on the main forum page so they divide up the main category's

Display them within the same box but perhaps in a smaller text.

Ie main headline, TECH SECTION
then under write that
"how to guides"
"bodywork"
"engine and turbo"
"transmission and suspension"

Thats a huge change to the forum code. Just not going to happen currently im afraid.

I didnt know that was there either
its not a section i seem to be able to find but then it would help if didnt have to search.

and hence why there arnt many topics in there. im sure there are other threads burried in the depths of the tech section that nobody has seen.

i been on here along time now and didnt even realise "realist" had made threads on reading engine fault codes and model differences :sad:

Really? It's not that tricky surely?

and hence why there arnt many topics in there.

There aren't many threads as I'm very particular about what goes in there. It has to be a how to and not a typical question. This is to build it as a quality resource rather than one full of all sorts.
Keep an eye on the forum and see how many question threads get moved back into the normal technical forum.

Sure. But I don't have the time to re read the 100000 posts to check if one or two old ones could be put in there. There is the forum search if you are looking for something specific. The fault codes is the one which stands out in the logs. Hence I moved it.
