More air needed

I'm really considering removing the front headlight when I'm next at the pod so the hks filter can suck in more fresh air as pos , is removing the headlight an easy thing to do as Ill problem take it out when I'm there and don't really want to get into any problems ... Cheers

Have you thought about just removing the filter? Would probably have more effect than removing the headlight and it's only a quarter of mile. If you don't fancy the idea then removing the back seats would probably have more effect than removing the headlight.

Iv removed the backseats already lol im really just trying to prevent heat soak as best I can .. I'll think of something I'm sure . Cheers

Heat soak isn't a factor when you're moving. People do run pipes from the fog lamps etc to their filters, but I doubt they have any real world effect. You might be talking 0.00001s, but if you increased the boost you'd get an extra 0.1s.

I see what u mean . Mite just go for the less weight approach and strp the car a little more : )

To be honest after sitting in the line for the rwyb heat soak is enevatable. For what you would save like already mentioned go for the lighter approach. Headlight out is a bumper off job which is a quick job with no undertray but a pain with undertray

Or get a bag of ice and sit it on your manifold. Its extremes though, to be honest, unless you drive constantly without your rear seats (which don't weigh much) and your headlight out, your times aren't a true indication of what your car is capable of.

I know what u mean , I just trying to beat the 12,2 I got last time at the pod as I know nxt time I go I'm goin with a few cars capable of low 12s and the Evo has to be the quickest out the group of course ; )
