hi all .

as the weather has turned smegg i thought it was time to get some winter/ wet weather tyres on the car .

so decided to give the uniroyal rain sport 2 xL a go as have had good feed back from people about them .

only time will tell as have only done around 20 miles on them so far .


The RainSport 2 in detail

RainSport 2 – top performance in the V-tread
The curved V-shaped tread bars of the RainSport 2 enable efficient water displacement. In addition, the 3D structure helps disperse the water.
The result: The Uniroyal RainSport 2 provides greater resistance to aquaplaning.

Short braking distances – on wet and dry roads.
Short braking distances are one of the principal features of the new Uniroyal RainSport 2. It doesn't matter whether it's raining or not, your car will quickly come to a standstill. In the dry, the curved V-shaped tread bars ensure even pressure distribution and the entire contact rests on the road.
In the wet, owing to its new rubber compound, the tyre is able to easily key into the road's surface.

Long tyre life.
VAI (Visual Alignment Indicator) – The tyre is provided with indicators for one-sided wear and therefore shows whether tracking and/or camber adjustment are optimal.
Any errors can therefore be corrected in good time, so nothing stands in the way of a long tyre life.

well spotted mate

the f1 is my fav tyre been using them for years .

gsd 2 then gsd 3 but just lacked a little grip in the wet / came accross these and they have a better write up and feed back on line so thought i would give them a try this time .

I like them too, the only thing is with less tyre contact means less grip but hey, with winter just round the corner the water displacement will out way that

thats exactly what i thought as this is a daily driver and now the rain is here and soon will be driving to work in damp mornings and home in dark cold evenings .

would love to run semi slick but would end up in a tree with in a week . lol :O)
