Dont get me started about the place.

Very badly/unfairly moderated in my opinion.

Hi,
I cant really comment as im not a paid member and rarely visit but I would say we are quite different to MLR. We are a lot smaller and much more of a community over here.

yup totally agree!
Love it on here

If you are so unhappy with the place we dont force you to stay. It is getting old seeing every post you make saying MLR is better. We are two very different forums! We have some great members here who will go out of their way to help anyone and it annoys me that every post you make is a sideways jab or a hint you would rather be on MLR.

and i thought over here was different, members always say you are allowed an opinion , and that was my opinion.
you obviously haven't read my posts, as not all are saying mlr is better , i think its a good site, with more going on and as said by yourself here is alot smaller.
And if you getting so annoyed, dont read my posts, :p

IMO the MLR is a good site. The thing with it though is that due to the size of the membership you obviously encounter a55holes and unfortunately they are more outspoken than the decent members over there (there are a lot of decent people there too).

There is a clique going on, but I would imagine its the same as a lot of other internet forums.
Also a lot of baiting and pathetic arguments happen over there (here its just feather dusters and popcorn :whistling:) again, I would expect its down to the number of members that are there.

It seems the place has lost sight of what it is to be an Evo community/enthusiast site.

When I joined up there 3yrs ago it seemed pretty good - Lots of info and defo learnt alot. But most were from doing searches on there from posts back in 2003 - 2005 etc. Seemed alot of info going on around that time which was good to read. Changed abit now though I find same old questions that have been posted and discussed many times before so seems not many even bother replying. Membership is good if you wanna go to shows trackdays or the sprints as this is when you get the best out of it for discounts etc. But for a normal owner that does none of that could be abit pointless. Group buys are good but ive never joined in on one as most the time you can get cheaper anyway if you look about :(.
Found some of the traders on there not very nice and seem to think as you own an Evo you have money pouring out ya ass. One trader local to me I had used alot and thought I had a good relationship with but when I was after a new clutch they were offering me all these prices on the phone that seemed to be crazy way over what i really needed. ( I mean I wasnt running 600hp) Anyway that same week the mlr mag came through and the same trader was doing a deal for clutches (very good ones) at like £300 cheaper than what I was being quoted over the phone a day earlyer.Cheeky gits! There words were "oh right you wanna go for the deal option". They didnt have an answer when asked why I wasnt offered this at the start.
Another trader I paid for next day on an small item (jiffy bag size) but never turned up for 3days.A phone call got me nowhere. Same place when all that BC coilover crap was going on even tho I bought new from them they told me to go direct to BC to sort it as they didnt want to know. Same place sold me some tyres that were ment to be "nearly new" as stated in the ad When I recieved them it was clear they were not - After a heated phone call the guy then told me they had 4k on them. Being R888 tyres everyone knows they dont last long these were down to the wear marker. Bunch of conning ***** that company and are well known on there. Another thats recently changed it name ;) I rang up about some new Ap 6 pot discs. Talking around £400 for these discs everytime I rang him he was abit busy lol Think I rang around 5 times with him saying ring back at this time - Gave up in the end wanker obviously didn`t want business that day lol ... One thats always good though is Ant@Indigo never had issues with them :)
Thats just a start could talk mappers too maybe another day for that one.

I'm new to EVO onwership and am on both forum's, been to PCAD with Evo Onwers and found everyone very friendly and had a great day...
I joined MLR before i got my EVO and despite the club having a bad reputation amongst other car clubs it seems ok so far, will see what its like when i go to a show/meet with them....
