i would say, MLR is a waste of time.
not very professional & many silly jokes that are not funny at all'
i was a member on there last year until i found a much better forum, here.

some swear that MLR forum is the best for an evo owner . . .

MLR is the biggest evo forum in the UK which is why I joined it. Im also registered here but seems like there is always more activity on the MLR than here, which is why i post questions over there.

I might start asking questions on here from now on....;)

Well looking through the forum, any person who hasn't paid up £35, their thread gets ignored. I had posted a thread about ARB bushes, as you John replied to on here.

I posted pics up from my Evo IV Brembo conversion and more or less got slated for the tyres i brought. Haven't been on since. but i did tell them i only brought budget tyres as i never got an answer from them about what tyre size i should get.

Personally why buy expensive tyres without havening a confirmation standard size Evo VI tyres will rub. Do it cheap and save £££ in the long run.

Also posted a problem i had back in march and they never helped me.

Then i found this forum. Guess what i recieved help. Have deleted MLR from my favourites last night too.

Bigger Forum usually means Bigger frustration!!!

The MLR is good according to some and crap according to others.

Those that say it is good have paid up.

Those that say it is crap have not.

There are some nice guys over there as I found out quite recently.
But hey, if you look at it like this then I am sure you will get the picture:

When you are part of something that has more than 1000 ACTIVE members then you will always get a percentage that are not happy or have not got what they expected. It is the law of averages, it can not be avoided unless the key player has eyes and ears everywhere which is impossible.

I have friends that are members over there and I know several members on our Forum that enjoy dual membership, take for example John@evobreakers or Cossie1; they always chip in when they are online and you never get wise cracks from them do you????

Steevo was at my Garage on a Bank Holiday and he needed lug nuts, not any old nuts but Rays, it was an MLR member that made enquiries through the MLR and sourced them for him. He drove to Derby to collect them as Steevo's car was on the ramp. I think that shows that they are not all bad and some are willing to go out of their way to help fellow Evo owners!!!

I have friends/relatives that would never consider doing that for their own siblings!!!
I am sure you could all think of a few too!!!

When you are part of something smaller then you will get a little more attention, we are a different kind of Forum as Nick has said before and the fact that our ACTIVE members is lower than the MLR's is a good thing indeed. We have quite a large amount of members but as you all may have noticed, they only drop by when they have a problem:mad:

Look at it this way if you will:
Why do parents moan when their child's class room has a very high student/teacher ratio??? It is because they know full well that the teacher will not get around to giving his/her full attention to every student so there will always be a couple of dim wits at the end of term. Unless there were more than a couple to start off with:D

It is for this reason that many of you get the answers you are looking for within an hour or two.

Back to the MLR..........
Granted, it does seem that the majority of them are quick to slate other members cars which is something at I do not like at all and on the few freebee tech questions that I have viewed, I have seen ridiculous replies but that will always happen and the majority should not be judged by the actions of the few.

Enough said on the matter?????

I hope!

El
