Mk4 DV in the Evo?

Will a dump valve from a mk4 golf fit the Evo 4? It's a recirculating Forge been offered at an excellent price

Can't see why not. Only things to worry about is diameter of inlet/outlet for the pipes, and the spring strength.

If the golf is running similar pressure to you BAR/psi then it should be fine.

He said the diameter is 27mm I believe the Evo is 30mm and I wasn't sure if the spring would be out under a lot of stress due to the extra power

You can switch out the spring there's spares on the forge website.

I'm sure they are all the same but come with "fitting kits" to fit specific cars

Can only imagine its different spring strengths. But the VAG engines run quite low boost as standard so more than likely you'll need a new spring.

If its a case of £20 for the valve then give it a go, if its more I'd buy new

Hmmm well he wants £50 I can get a new DV for £85 as I've been offered a deal!

Buy new. I think the Evo 9 OE ones are supposed to be pretty good too.
