Hi Guys,

Picked up my first ever EVO this weekend, spent 2 days cleaning it removing vinyl graphics etc and window tints to clean her up a little.

JDM background, came from Skylines and RX7's... Still have the RX7, but that's in bits in the garage vac leak from a broken check valve! Waiting for delivery of new valves.

Anyway just thought I'd pipe up and say Hi!

Thanks Bud! I like it, just trying to decide on keeping the 18's or going back to factory 17" size, maybe a little wider than stock with some decent rubber.

What tyres are you running? I was just looking at Hankook Ventus Evo2 K120's or Toyo C1s. With a 9.5" rim do you have any rubbing issues? I'm assuming they are ET38? or did you havea different offset with spacers?

Mine has 235/45/17 falken Fk452's but there slightly euro'd and standard suspension, and it only rubs under very heavy cornering....needs a stronger anti roll bar really

When the tyre wall leans in slightly.... basically the tyre is too small for the rim. I think id need 255/45/17 for them to sit right but i think they'd be to wide and rub

ah okay, so it's got a stretched look... that's not too much of an issue though, well unless it catches the tarmac under heavy cornering?

It doesnt catch the tarmac....its the tyre rubbing the arch under heavy cornering. The strech is fine.....not too streched tho ha ha
