Transfer box has be known to go although usually diff first, regular fluid changes normally keeps them going. Are your ayc lights on by any chance?

No there should be a AYC light on te dash if it's lit you may have a problem at the back ;)

Not on a 7/8/9 mate. It's ACD with 3 lights on the dash Tarmac gravel snow.
If all 3 lights stay on then Ayc/acd isn't working and there is a fault.

You need to check the fault code. You can do this by using a small piece of wire and bridging pins 1 &4 on the obd port under steering column. Once you done this turn ignition on and count the fast and slow light flashes from the acd lights
