Hey guys!
I have a serious problem, here. My girlfriend put some gas in my diesel car yesterday. Then she came home (about 5 miles). I haven't started it yet, what should I do? Should I call a tow service and call my mechanic, or can I take my car there? If she managed to came home, is there a possibility that everything will be just fine and I don't need to bother with a mechanic?

Dont drive it any more!!!
Petrol in diesel is the more ok way but it is not ok to continue. Diesel has lubricants in it for the system and petrol burns a lot hotter. It does need flushing and replacing with diesel as a minimum.
What car is it?

The same thing happened to my mum a few months ago... you should really drain the tank. That's what I did and I had no problems. And I also put a special misfuelling protection on so she won't make the same foolish mistake again
good luck

ok, thanks! I drained the tank and it looks like I won't have any problems. What kind of misfuelling protection are you talking about? I guess I should really get one because I'm not too sure she won't make the same mistake again :)
