Max bar / boost on std 9 turbo ?

If I had my bottom end forged / piston and rods . What sort of boost could I run on the std 9 turbo ?

2 bar . Sweet . Ok so if the mods so far are fuel pump , 3 port , decat and HKS filter . What sort of bhp should I see if I then get cams fitted and 2 bar boost with the new internals fitted ... ? ; )

Just had a hd exedy twin plate fitted ; ) but no injectors yet . Will that be needed then ?

That will be up to the job then..Would need the extra fuelling if you want to run big boost,

You thinking of fitting gsc 1 cams? What's your budget going to be to forge the motor?

That's good then . I was looking at kelford 272 cams . To be honest I haven't got £££££ to spend , £3000 mark a guess

go for the kelfords and may as well get 1000cc injectors

Isn't that right on the limit of the valves? Struggle to get it all for that sort of money.. was thinking of forging but going to hold off, going to go a different route for the time being..

With the 9 turbo the maximum boost varies from engine to engine especially with 272 cams, as we find that pushing up to 2.0 bar the intake temps shoot up and the torque drops off substantially.

We usually find that anything between 1.6-1.8bar with the cams dialled in and tweaked on the dyno gives the best and safest results without giving the turbo a kicking.

As for the valves, I only replace them when wear and tolerance dictates and should be more than adequate for your power levels.

If you fit the kelfords then you only need to replace the valve springs and retainers not the valves themselves. I'd go with the 1000 over the 750 as they'll last you longer if you fit a bigger turbo etc and they are the same prices

Autotoque , chris down there is well sound , he sorted my AYC pump when it went wrong : ) . Haven't really budgeted for pulleys , is it well needed or is is something that could wait till iv got abit more money ?

they are defo needed if fitting the cams to get the best out of them, its worth fitting now as then you don't have to loosen the cam belt etc, get them dialed in and then remapped later.

Would be worth holding off until you have all the bits you need as it'll save you money in the long run
