I was kung fu instructor few years back. all stopped because my little boy was born.
To be honest- brisk walking is one of the best form of exercise. Martial arts can lead to long term damage at later date(usually aches and pains)

6.5Ghost I understand what ur saying I always wanted to be an instructor but cause I've always been on and off havnt got there yet. I know what you mean about the aches and pains but I love the pain doesn't matter how many bruises I have after a session. Anyways don't you think it's good for keeping fit??

In terms of keeping fit, Must admit yeh..
when I'm in a training mode it's all about pushing yourself to the limit- now that's not good.
coming to aches and pain. physical pain can easily be tollerated, but when it turn into pneumatic pain that's when it really get you down.
My advice take it easy during the exercise- warming up is crucial

Warming down is just as, maybe more crucial.

Also, what do you mean pneumatic pain? Do you mean rheumatic?

You know it's good to hear that we all have more in common im impressed Kung Fu, boxing martial arts and Muay Thai it's wicked. I thought maybe people just like Evos lol. Yeh it's true nothing beats a good warmup before a session and it's so true it's just as important to warm down.

I have dabbled in Eskrima for a while an only joined up cause el and some of his mates are heavily into it. Too much pain involved though and my business takes me everywhere so rarely go anymore. Would love to learn kung Fu.
