heres a question for you guys as i have just mentioned to my brother im looking for some lowering springs.

if i put lower springs on my car will it screw the shocks as the springs will be shorter than the standard ones. he says there will be much more strain on the shock and they will keep blowing a lot quicker.

i just dont know i have tried fighting my corner with it but i just simply dont know enough to argue the case

so in other words do i need new shocks if i replace the springs im going with a no

The shocks will be fine as long as the springs arent too much shorter. Providing the shock doesnt keep bottoming out it will not cause much if any extra wear. As said above make sure you get decent springs as cheap ones will sag and the ride can become very bad.

yh ill stay away from the apex just a thought i know nothing about em. so the teins are well rated and dont go over the top with the lowering
