my idea was that it should stay with the people that made the stand what it was on the day. cos that was what the prize was given for.
there for it should be there for its members too see, at the end of the day, if it wasn't for the members the club would be nothing.

if nick has it then nobody will ever see it cos nobody ever sees him, or even know who he is

Yes that is an idea but it's not for you to decide that is it? Nick own's the club so as he has had on a few occasions he has the final say. Anyway's why you kicking off about it when your not Event Organiser anymore? Clear to me and a fair few other's where your Loyalties lie nowday's hey lee!!!

as most people wont know, even though I resigned I still did a fair bit to make this day happen, and took responsibility for those that attended. I was gonna continue to organise the combe days as its out the other staffs reach but from the help I got from everyone I got on here tonight to try keep this tin tray where its members can see it at all future evoowners events I don't think ill bother. seems it aint worth the hassle

Lee don't bang on like your a big evoowners participant, wow you made it to a show evoowners was doing and actually parked with us instead of mlr, and heeey it just happened to be the event that a trophy was won. Lets be fair it's a nice idea to drag the goblet to shows but we ain't the first or last club to win a trophy and ill be honest never seen another club bring their silverware along.

Lets jus put this to bed now and nick holds onto it.

I personally feel that no I shouldn't have the trophy, or any of the prizes, yes I did organise the show with some help from b6lee, and nick also, but I didn't attend.

I organise a lot of shows, as did b6lee, I take my gratitude for doing them in the knowledge that the members keep coming back to do more shows with us, that's my drive, what keeps me doing this.
Without you members attending the shows this club would just be what it was before, a glorified cyber chat room, that the members just so happened to have one major interest.

Winning the trophy was a major thing for us, we've never won one before, i know it was down to the sheer standard of cars that were on display that day, and each and everyone who attended should have a massive well done, cause that's what won the trophy

We are a non profit club, so much so that the staff put a lot of money into helping out with certain things, and help this club run smoothly.

Maybe instead of having the trophy attend every event, why not have a banner made up of the event it won it at, like "winners of best club stand at castle Coombe forge action day sep 2013"? with the castle Coombe trademark on it perhaps? Or even get a dummy trophy made up to take to shows ? They are relatively cheap to get done?

Either way this shouldn't divide us as a club, we all have the same thing in common, lets not let our egos get in the way of this club being the best it can be, and hopefully winning more prizes

I closed the other thread as this shouldnt be aired in public but it looks to have anyway.

Whilst Im certainly not happy with what is occurring behind the scenes please dont let it take away from what was an excellent show.
And whilst the battle seems to be mainly between me and Lee dont think for one minute im going to stand for people bashing Lee for his work for the club. Foxy put in huge effort organising this (and many other meets) and Lee did a lot of work and a massive load work on the day organising things there. So please dont take this for granted, even if you didnt attend this particular show. I am very grateful for all the work that went into it all.

But as for the trophy, I have decided that I wish to be the custodian of it. It is special to the club and as the buck ultimately stops with me I wish to look after it. I have already said it should be made available for Foxys photoshoots and for next years Forge show and other worthy events.
Thats my decision. Ive gone into it at great lengths in the staff only section. Its not up for debate. Whether it will be actioned is to be seen.
