I was looking at an evo 6. The bloke said it was 409.2 bhp but has no receipts , only a power print out. Can i trust the bloke or walk away?

*shrug* To get a VI to a reliable 410 BHP would involve some extensive work. Have to admit I'm not one to keep receipts myself, but I'd at the very least want explained what has been done to it. If you don't know this guy you're probably better erring on the side of caution.

Buyers market - so many good cars are getting broken because they cant sell which also have good backgrounds. Either have it proved to you what's in it and by who (there will be a trail if anything has been done - the evo community is brilliant for that),or walk away and find one which has....

Or if there is really no paperwork/history/known mechanics who can vouch, then knock at-least £1500 off the price and buy it to cover it.
