Maybe someone could help here

I was changing the brake discs on my Octavia today

The problem is, some c*nt has damaged the threads on the little studs that hold the calipers on (no wonder it vibrated when I was braking) I noticed they weren't even fully tight when taking them out

I tried to fix them up the best I could and they thread in ok but they won't tighten

Will I have to buy a new hub now or Is there an easy way out?

If anyone can help cheers

you can try re threading the holes with a tap and get new slides or the only other way is you will have to put a time sert or helicoil which is basically a new thread but both allot cheaper than a new hub... look up time sert kit or helicoil kit

Ahh right. I had that happen to a golf I had a few years back. The guy in the garage put some sleeve thing in which basically gave the hole new threads (sure someone more technical could explain these things better :) )
It was only about £20 or so.

Something like this
