launcing

just wondering if someone can put me right about this

i have launch control mapped into my evo 5 and excedy paddle clutch fitted

i tryed launching my car a few times but i found that sometimes the car would would take off like a rocket and sometimes it would not,it kinda felt as if the clutch was slipping so i would quickly ease off the power when i felt this but then the next time i try i would be perfect.

does anyone know why i am getting varied results?

any input appreciated

I just build up the revs to 4-4.5k until the turbo spools up and the antilag is on

launch control should have 1 setting. Not build up to 4-4,5k!!!
Foot flat to floor and the limiter should be 4500rpm. clutch on biting then lift off to launch. Differing results would indicate slipping clutch or spinning the wheels

Well a stock clutch or an organic won't last very long doing that, that's for sure.

If your going to be soon alot if launching you'd need a paddle clutch

I've never tried launching like this on stock clutch.

There is a major drawback with the paddle clutch cos it is a nightmare in traffic shakes the shi& outta the car!!

you can do that but the launch control is when antilag is mapped into the ecu which makes the turbo spool up when your at a standstill i think my turbo was at about 1 bar boost for launch
