as i thought'
not sorted the diff out yet. in no rush of that.
not had the time.
guess i will give you the guys the car for the clutch.
its a bit of a job for me & time schedule wont permit me to carry the work out.
what clutch would you recommend as standard ?
fast road clutch or exedy ?
they both similar priced.

Fast road are not too good. I know several people who have had issues lately with them ripping apart, one guy said his only lasted 400 miles or so!!!

I think it is down to dodgy traders selling re conditioned units or something, 3 of them were bought off ebay.

A standard Exedy will suffice or if you want something a little special then go for a Helix.

If you want to do alot of launching, then i'd recommend going for a twin plate (exedy SD is the best as it retains drivability rather than turn into an on / off switch like some other makes).

Also 5000 - 5500rpm usually works nicely for launching an evo imo

Don't do it very often tbh, but when I do, I like to make sure the car will get off the line without bogging down or wheel spinning too mcuh :D

Oi Dave:mad:
What have I told you about your clutch buddy???

I hope you are taking it easy. You need to give it 400 miles to bed in.

What did the clowns say at the garage that fitted it in the first place???

They came and paid me today for the job and asked what I did to fix it. I told them to dream on if they think I am letting them know how to do it. I told them they were lucky to know me otherwise they would have been in deep shtook!!!

Cheeky so and so's:D

Keep me posted on your end buddy.
