A set of quadrilles of a certain arrangement.
A lancet.
One who lances. one who carries a lance. especially, a member of a mounted body of men armed with lances, attached to the cavalry service of some nations!

When the Japs introduced the Lancer, they had an image in their heads of a man on a steed charging with a lance that he penetrated through all of his opponents.

Little did they know that it was more in common to Morris dancers then what they though it was LOL!!!!!
