Congratulations on your purchase. I would advise a nice induction kit, exhaust (catback) get it sounding nice. And just enjoy it, learn your way around that 2 litre lump and the differences between it and an evo. Maybe a coilover kit and good brakes....and again just enjoy it, forget about going for more bhp it's not worth the money. Save what you would spend towards your next car

in the end I saw the lancer sport, 07 plate, 1 owner, 23000 on the clock, full mitsi service history, £3195, it is is in mint condition, so just bit the bullet. was either that or a evo 8 at 10,000 !!!!

I'm a big fan of custom exhausts for a car like yours ;) find a local fabricator who'll knock you something up in stainless steel wouldn't cost too much, will last the life of the car give a nice tone. We all started somewhere and I doubt many started with an Evo. Universal parts if well chosen will work well also. Is this a first car? Or first step towards an evo?? ;)

I searched google and found loads after a couple of searches...
Try searching for 06 lancer sport instead of 07...07 was the year change to the new model Lancer.
If you're in Glasgow, get yourself along on the 27th to the Showcase meet...it's one of the bigger meets of the year Skyline owners, MLR, Clan Japan, Chasing 7, and a few other clubs/ forums will be attending...
K&N do panel filters for your car... I'd look at a full stainless induction kit with a pipe that replaces the airbox will make noise and gain a bit of power/ response... But get reading, learn what you can about your 2.0l engine and what others have learned. American forums are a wealth of information, over here your car is quite rare, the American market is so much bigger they'll no doubt have a good section for lancers and not just Evos on some of the forums.
