Lack of power at speed :(

I have a weird noise when I'm in 5th gear at speed, basically when I'm in 5th gear and speeding up to over take someone, I take my foot off the accelerator and a weird burrrrrrrr noise happens and it's like I lose power until I put my foot back down, ( not always possible though lol ) it's never done it before in the 2 years I've had her but has happened a few times this year now

Any idea ?

Block off all the pipes that go to the dump valve and try again

sticky bov. if its exposed to the weather and or road salt and grime then i expect its got gunked up and sticking.

failing that check the small pipe that comes of it for splits

Hmm, you lose power when you take your foot off the accelerator and you get power again when you press it back down?

Ooooh you guys are bitches lol, I know I'm blonde, but it's hard to explain the sensation is weird all power just goes like a flat spot I suppose but it's never had it before, and the noise is weird too
