knocking sound on my evo 8

my evo 8 has recently started making a slight knocking sound from the front nearside wheel area, i can hear it when i drive at low speeds mostly, it just suddenly started making it and is annoying. does anyone have any idea to what it is and what i need to do and rough price as im a newbie to the evo world.

check ball joints for wear and also drop links, they are common to creak/knock. top mounts.... just grab the wheel off and get a bar in there and check for play

Ok so I've had everything checking in the wheel arch area, linkages, driveshafts, ball joints etc, all secure and sound, so still need advice as to where the knocking is coming from? Any help with this would be great.

I have a knocking sound coming from the front nearside of my 8 also. Found out to be a leaking front shock! Best excuse I'v ever had to get a new set of HSD's ordered

Yeh someone also said about diff bolts?? Can't be the shock as it does it when barely moving sometimes. How much am I looking at to have the bolts changed evoaps?

Well that's ruled that out then, so the search for the problem continues

Try antirollbar bushes, also droplinks ball joints etc for any movement. Also steering tie rods

Not yet, haven't had time too look at it. Just parked it up for now, just got new power steering pump and belt so il try figure out the problem when I put the pump on
