hi guys need a wee bit of help please

when i accelerate hard in 1st or 2nd gear i have a loud knocking noise but not when i get above 2nd gear, been told it could be an engine mount, it kinda sounds directly bellow the gear stick so im thinking more along the lines of a transfer box mount.

anyway how do i go about eliminating the bushes to get the knackered one? what do i look for as signs of wear in them?

thanks in advance

Could be exhaust knocking on something, which would come from crap engine mounts.

If it was going to fall apart, it would do it in 1st where the most effort is needed. Try rocking the engine back and forth in the bay by hand and check how much movement there is.

I think its prob the exhaust nocking on the antiroll bars or something cause it would only happen in low gears as that's where the engine moves mostly and not in high gears had same prob adjusted the exhaust and it was sorted

My exhaust was knocking against my subframe so I put a bigger down pipe on and problem solved but I'll b honest it done it at different speeds in all gears
