knocking coming from the rear

hope someone can be of assistance here
i have an evo 9gt and recently uprated the engine and clutch etc
the other day put car in to reverse to get off my drive and as i was reversing
the car started to judder and then a loudish knocking sound came from the back seating area of the car which could be physically felt by my rear passengers
the juddering does sometimes occur since i had an alcon 6 puck single plate paddle clutch fitted to take the extra power from the engine but never knocked before
should i be worried ?
what could it be ?
can someone shed a little light on this for me please

It could be that your dif is locking up. Is known to happen when you have a strong engine. Could also be your brakes are locking up but they would not be a judder but if they did it wouldn't be one that's so bad it can be felt that much.

My moneys on the dif but you might wonna wait until el turns up and see what happens. Maybe some one like Jamie or John will have a beter idea even.

most likely it is the diff.
had the same prob before.

strong clutch = weak diff.
