Kelford 272 Cams

I fitted a set of kelford 272 cams to my evo on wednesday but have a slight problem. I fitted these Kelfords 272 Cams and set the valve lift as close as i could to what is stated by Kelford but this was set with oil in tappets. Does this make a difference to to the valve clearance i set the cams at as it states in book *only set the valve lift with no oil in the lash adjusters*

Does anyone know what the valve lift would be on the Kelfoed 272 inlet and exhaust cams with oil still remining in the lash adjusters??????
Idle is erratic and back fires.

when i did my bc 272 cams i compressed the lash adjusters in a vice to empty them then fitted the cams on "0" straight up and ran up till they stopped tapping so that they could reset , as if you where fitting standard pulleys :O)

the lash's maybe pumped up holding the valves open "

then you can dial them on a dyno :O)

i think the values are 107 degrees and 113 degrees, have you fitted uprated springs and retainers

I thought maybe how i did tdc was off as marked bottom pulley and used pointer for tdc on cam cover as this was done quickly. Will strip again tomorrow and do it again.

you need to use a cam 360 dial and a dial gauge to do it properly, your wasting your time if you don't use them,

Have a DTI gauge and stand, there is a timing disc somewhere. Was limited for time on wednesday when it was fitted. Never pays to rush a job...
