Hi All,

I've been lucky enough to find myself a cheap "little runner" to get me to and from my new job until my Evo sells.....

I am in a good position now to either sell it as it is "with no tax n mot" for a reduced price or break it for parts as I now have dry indoor storage for all the parts should I need it. "Spare ground floor bedroom at my dads house" :)

So 2 questions really....

1 - If i sold it as it is through ebay/pistonheads/autotrader etc i think i would get a decent amount of money quite quickly for it.. "But personally I'd be gutted cos it stands me at just over £10k...

2 - If I decide to strip her for parts, Reims Blue Evo 6, Forged Engine, Evo 9 Turbo lots of upgrades... Who would be interested in parts??

Many thanks in advance for all feedback received on this.

Steve

You would be very lucky if you got back £3000 for it as is.

Breaking would bring the biggest cash return in but it's always a real shame to strip them for parts.

Why not restore the evo back to it's former glory and do it at your leisure!

Hi Supamario, Yes i know 2 of my mates have offered me £3k cash but I really dont want to accept that.. As i know theres very little work to get her Tax'd n Mot'd..

I know its a shame to break it... Have you seen the pics?? Its in excellent condition and been well maintained by me..:(.. Trouble is new job is a £10k paycut... But I'll be working local and 5 minutes from my Daughters school.. At the mo Im working in Grimsby which is 120 miles away.. Just need to be closer to home for my daughter and left I've decided to leave my work Industry after 16 years in it... As i need to be close for her.

I would restore My Evo but I no longer have a garage and at the minute its sitting on my Dads drive and its Devastating just seeing it sitting there collecting dust... Im sad to say she needs a new home...:( or to be stripped to try and re-coupe what ive put into it..:(

Hope this helps mate

Ive just paid 6300 for a really clean evo 5, so there are people out there willing to pay good money for a really nice evo like i did. If you can do the hard work and afford to wait till it sells then it will be worth it in the end as youll get a good price.
If you cant then your going to have to break it !!

What does it need to be put right?

Hi Tom,

I was told by Mitsubishi that their were 3 holes on the underside of the car that need welding up. (Was also told the underside could do with a good clean n underseal.

AYC Pump failed but bought one off ebay but have not had time to put it on... I believe they have to be pressurised?? Im not sure.

And a Flat Battery.

To my knowledge they are the only faults.
