Just curious on all the hype regarding MLR?

I've heard this site mentioned several times so I finally went for a visit and I'm still curious to hear what's not good about it? Based on the comments it sounds like a site over in the states called Evolutionm.net where you have everybody that thinks they are a Evo guru and soooooo opinionated. Is that what I'm hearing??

There are some really good people on there (the ones I've met so far told me about this site though) but a lot seem to love gunning people down if they haven't used a useless search option or spent a grand on a catch tank.

If you want good priced track days and trader discounts, it's worth the membership still.

I have all but given up with the mlr. I couldn't wait to become a fully fledged member, I was signed up here and never used it really and I would always go to the mlr but I got fed up with the people thinking they had bought the world most expensive car and thinking they are it.

I find on here it's more friendly and more realistic, people will actually help you too, theirs friendly banter and that's all good.

Imo I would back up scratched it's only worth it if you have a track car and will take part it their events, there are some good traders on here.

Plus the people I met through the mlr are over here now

One thing you can't deny tho is that because MLR is so busy, there is A LOT of information available on there. Just ashame some people are far up their own arses and it's basically a forum where you pay to use it or you don't pay and get squat in return other than some stuck up members looking down on you for not paying.

A lot of the people on there like neverneverman & todd-w are really nice and helpful, but as said above, it's the ones who think they know it when they don't that make the place look bad. Ashame if you ask me, it has the potential to be so much better.
