juddering sensation whilst fast cornering

hi, i have an evo V, had it for about 2 years, when i'm cornering fast to the right i'm getting a juddering that feels like it coming from the n/s/f corner of the car, the car also started to clunk when turning right, so i had the transfer box dismantled to see if the bolts were needing changed, the transfer box was fine. at high speed it feels like the car is going over a cattle grid. the garage said the rear diff had a bit of play in it, and felt a bit rough, oil checked, and it was clean. could a problem with the rear diff cause a sensation that feels like its coming from the front? or does anyone have any other ideas, i don't really want to replace the rear diff, and find the car still does it...... :-(

since the transfer box has been rebuilt, the clunking has stopped, my ayc light is on, but the judder was there before the ayc light came on.

Have you had the tracking checked? Could possibly be the tyre scrubbing if its a long way out? Does it still handle ok and is just the judder? Or does it not feel right at all?

Unlikely but most places will check tracking for free so cant do any harm.

If the ayc light is on, the ayc system is off, so that will not be related.

the tracking is, fine, it was set up for fast road at extreme motorsport. the car drives fine other than the judder which is very off putting, it only does it on certain corners.

I take it you have had all the suspension checked out then? Could be a small amount of play in a top mount / balljoint or something?

i do also get juddering under hard braking, new discs needed i think, but i doubt this would have anything to do with the cornering judder.

it was all looked at when the transfer box was done, and it has just passed an mot, so nothing showed up then either...

Just had a quick search through the forums before I asked and seen this. I have a juddering when driving above about 20 mph. Used to have a slight judder when turning left (I think) but I thought it was to do with the wheels having different profile tyres, so got new tyres and now there is a juddering above about 20mph.

i wondered if it could be a duff shock on the front, maybe the wheel was bouncing off the road under hard cornering. but when i bounce the car on each corner, they are all solid.
