you wont go wrong with a yamaha, but make sure its been well serviced and looked after especially if its been used in salt water, double check the 'hours' on it as they don't seem to do many before they get rebuilt.

what do you want the ski for? whilst the bigger ones are better for towing, more stable etc they aren't as nimble and as much fun as the smaller ones imo.

Yeah I'm just off the phone to a guy he has just sold a Yamaha which I was ringing about, he also has a seadoo but I'd rather Yamaha personally.

my motocross bike I Yamaha and hasn't gave me any bother.

I just want it for fun mate messing around that's all,

What would you recommend for 3000?

seadoo's are quite common now but I've not had any experience with the newer ones (old ones were a bit crap)
I couldn't advise what to buy as I've been out of the seen for a while (still got my old gp1200 though) but yeah yamahas seem to be the ones that dont need rebuilds so often and generally more reliable.

The older model you buy then the less money you will lose when it comes to selling it as newer one depreciate like hell.

remember you need to take insurance quotes into account and they make the evo look like a moped regards to fuel economy

they are expensive things to maintain mate, where I take mine it has to be registered with the coastguard to be allowed on the beach, to allow it to be registered it has to be datatagged and insured with 2 million quid liability.

then you have launching fees and fuel on top, you will want insurance anyway as they are quite easily nicked, insurance will probably be 300 quid+

you wont believe the handling as well, although usually adjustable if you put it for full 'grip' then the ski will literally corner faster than you can physically hold on......cant wait for summer now :D

looks ok mate, and fresh water use only is always a bonus, not sure if its priced right or not without checking loads of other ads.

remember to inspect the hull and impeller closely when viewing for any signs of previous damage/repairs, some people are quite rough with them riding onto beach etc, you can even crack the hull jumping on decent size waves and not landing properly (water is quite hard at speed which you will no doubt find out.....whilst bouncing over the surface on your face lol)
