Anybody got any experience of using one of these on an Evo 6?

My current (original) ic has a couple of tennis ball sized dents in it so considering a refurb or replace.

Theres a large thread on the MLR regarding Japspeed intercoolers and hard pipe kits.

Worth a read tbh, had some issues with the E4/5/6 fitments but appeard to have rectified the issues, mixed opinions on them but until some one actually dyno's an OEM one v Japspeed IC then its all guess work.

My E6 IC is shot to bits so i will be going for a similair kit with hard pipes for less that £200 delivered, im sure it will be more than up to the job for up to 400bhp.

Had some discussions with Japspeed about the kit and apparently it's been redesigned to fix the install problems. They have installed it on an MLR members E6 with no problems.

I'd probably go with a new stock IC if they weren't so expensive here in New Zealand. The IC on it's own is nearly 3 times more expensive that the whole Japspeed kit with pipes etc including delivery from the UK. Go figure.

you read that report you will never want to buy anything from janspeed... was interesting read and I have to say I dont think I would buy anything off them in the future not worth the hassle.... the Janspeed core sounded like an eBay jobbie. Guess you get what you pay for.

better off replacing the i/c pipework first as it is very restrictive. stock core is good for about 400.
