mate one of my wings broke as i was trying to fly with the naked angles !! so the suit has to say at woodys house and just hope the weather holds out, or we will have to wait untill april for the first jap meet at the pod, and buzz will be there then!!!:

just got back from pod weather was great altho started to rain when i left ran 14.3 at 110mph but a strange thing is happening my revs go right round to 9000 thats well past the red and the engine doesnt struggle or does the rev limiter cut in,any ideas?there are also 5 wires hanging out of my ecu i asked a guy there today an he said its possibly the wires for a re-map and suggested that it had been re-mapped again any info on this guys?

A little strange to say the least, could be that the gauge is playing games with you!

I had a charade GTti a long time back and when it was hitting 7000 revs the needle used to go right round and want to carry on to 0!

That was a common fault on them and was easily rectified with soldering.

Maybe Jamie or Sponners might have an idea or two too.

i know what ur saying el but its not like the car stops powering up when the needle hits the 9000 mark.

it doesnt it keeps pulling like a train

My Charade never used to cut either, standard they are known to hit 9000 revs and for a 993cc 12v turbo charged engine that is saying something!

I think this is something for Russ,Jamie or Sponners buddy as mapping is not my thing.

The Evo's have been known to hit 9000 revs without the cut and that is through the delimiter. I do not think that your ECU is stock.
