do you think that it might come under the same sorn as car tax or a seperate one ?

cos surly if you declaire sorn then the tax is removed or expired so everytime you want to use it youll have to tax it ?

In 2009, it was estimated that about two million motorists in Great Britain drive uninsured.

It's this lot that make our insurance premiums so high. You wouldn't want to be bumped by one of these....

sounds bad guys

if it comes in over here too i wont be able to keep my evo cos nobody is insured on it i m only insured on it when i m in it 3rd party only

i have a third party extension on my policy on my 1.3 corolla and i can drive any car as long as its taxed and tested and not in my name.

Also i moved house lately and i was talking to my neighbour he has an old bmw 320 coupe lying up in a parking space across the road from his house.he told me that he got fined for having no tax on it.

i thought that was bullsh*t as its a private estate and it a cul de sac!!!

i now have my mondeo parked beside the bmw which is also lying up but i took the plates off it

you do realise it has to be insured by someone else in order for you to be covered on it !!!!!

I'm sure the car has to be insured (in your cthe ase, the evo) to be able to drive it 3rd party on your other insurance. Then again, rules could be different in Ireland.

If you done that here (remove the plates) they'd tow your car away or put police aware stickers on it and remove at a later date!!

That is what I was just thinking but I am sure I have come across a 3rd Party extension where you just need the owners consent irregardless of the vehicle having cover or not.

Well worth checking the fine print either way evoaps.

That's very good news for a lot of people who struggle to get insured on Evos etc.

If police are ok with it, even better news :)
