Is this a good evo to buy? Advice needed

Hi everyone. I'm thinking of buying my first evo. Can anyone advise me on what they think of the following specs and problems with this evo iv.

Good points:
Turbo Smart Blow Off Valve
Apexi AVC-R Boost Controller
EVO vii Engine - covered 9000 miles
New Clutch and Turbo covered 9000 miles
Turbo Hard Piping and Air Filter
560cc Injectors
Kakimoto Racing Exhaust System
Four Branch Manifold
Pillar Mounted Boost Gauge
Front and Rear Strutt Braces
Reconditioned Gear Box
New Break Lines covered approx 1000 miles
New Wheel Hubs and Bearings on Front
Brand New B.C Coilovers and Top Mounts covered approx 500 miles

Bad Points:
Fan belt and Alternator Tensioner need replacing
Centre section on Front Splitter is missing
Bonnet Release Catch (need to use grips)
Brake Pads are a bit worn and Discs are a bit pitted

Supposed to of only covered 75k miles but its had a lot replaced. Does this sound like its gonna give me a lot of trouble? Or are these things expected.
Is there anything particular I should look for/check before buying the car?

All advice really appreciated.

check for service history. mainly on the diff oil changes that should have been done, listen for whining noises, make sure AYC light does not stay on.

First of all I am not sure if any BOV is a good point really.

That said, I would look at all the history available on the car and carry out a HPI but not a cheapy text message one, but a good one over the internet that costs at least £18.00 as it will tell you all that needs to be known and if some dark secret is left out and you buy the car only to discover it later on, then you are insured and the company will give you what you have paid for the car.

Make sure that all the MOT's are with the car and that the first one ties in with the date of first registration listed on the V5 document. If it is missing or there are differences or discrepancies on the dates of issue then do a quick VOSA check if the HPI is only listing date of registration mileage.

If the engine etc has been fitted in the last 10k miles then make sure there are receipts for this and ring the number to confirm all is above board.

The basic advice given by StevieITR is great, if you look through my recent posts then you will no doubt come across one that has a detailed test drive check list which will determine if the car is what it is advertised to be.

thats good advice el..........if the car checks out to be good then the few problems you listed are an easy fix, you could easy do them yourself m8, good luck
