Is the 4:11 drive needed ???

I'm getting rid of the 6 speed in my 9 for a 5 speed box . Just wanted to know if the 4:11 drive is really needed if I was just useing it for abit of track use and fast road ? Would I regret not getting it fitted ?

6 speed is better for motorway use. They crammed a 6 gear into the box. So a 5 speed is stronger. You'll notice it on fuel economy but nothing else..
