Interior Mirror

Hi,

I have a question about my interior mirror (Evo 4) as you can see by the picture below the part I'm holding in my hand (the part that fits into the slide attached to the windscreen) will not stay attached to the mirror housing, I've tried everything even Q-Bond, which is amazing by the way, but there is not enough contact area between the two parts for it to hold.

So, I'm wondering if you guys can be kind enough to tell me if there is a part missing from my mirror??

never took mine aprt, but have seen something like this on another car I had.
It appear the piece you're holding is missing a washer or similar, the screw on the mirror housing bolts onto that. The whole thing then slide and clip into position.

i could be wrong - just sharing what I come across

Thanks mate..I was wondering that as there seems to bit a shiny circle as if something has been sitting in there?? I reckon your right mate..

Just for guidance when you clip it in place. It could get stiff, but use lube on those metal clips, else will fall off very soon.
Hope I'm right too... not too many people would pay attention to these small tingly things. I was just by chance...
