Intercooler spray bottle - worth keeping/ removal

Not to bad to get aircon out..get the rad out to avoid putting a tool though it then degas air con, 4 mounting bolts, mounting plate..all the pipework and rs belt done ;-) got my aircon rad out into the bay rather than out the front so had to take less off..

Will see about getting my spray bottle out tonight should have a few hours free

i will take some photos step by step when i take my engine out again, strip it and play with the loom if i have time.

You get a square duct about 6 x 4" and also 5 x 3" from hardware store or appliance shop that are used for the cooker hood duct through cavity of your wall. It is has a 3 or 4" round hole and then get some 3 or 4" neoprene ducting as its strong and flexible plus is black so easy to hide from the eye better. Run this from the duct to your filter and clip up the neoprene flexible ducting and job done plus looks tidier. Will only cost you about £25 for the neoprene flexible ducting and the square to round cavity duct.

I have used some filter paper you use on a cow milking machine as a filter and placed this between the round end on the cavity ducting and the neoprene flexible ducting/hose and secured with a hose clip. Catches very piece of micro size dust and dirt so prolongs cleaning your filter as often and stop anything including leaves being sucked up towards your filter as when you have high revs and turbo spinning you have it sucking on the filter like crazy wanted feed with air.

Just watch you dont hit the turbo with your radiator or air con radiator. Easy enough with standard radiator just a little more care needed if its an uprated motor sport radiator as they are wider in diameter.

If you are thinking of changing your air filter at any time get an apexi power dual funnel filter as they are unbelievable for the amount of air and vortex they provide and capable to deliver for up to 800 BHP engines. I had this on my E6 before i sold the hardpipe from the turbo and the apexi air filter had to go in the sale.

Got the spray bottle out in about an hour with the bumper still on, wiring and jets to get out on the weekend.. That's some serious power for a filter that small, must be an excellent design.. Running a pipercross filter that bigger than that and it's only rated to about 500bhp..

Air con is easy enough to get out, just be careful when de basing as its toxic stuff

Yea they are a great filter and i have great results from them, air con is a bit on a pain to remove due to the gases and cant understand why they use it over here with our great weather.. Pleasures of imports lol.

Great filter these... i wish they made them in a larger bore as cant get one for my hardpipe at the moment but may make a reducer to make it fit. Want another one of them.

Can't fault those sorts of figures.. Ideal if you lack space to run some massive k&n..

True it is a pain and totally pointless in this country for the few days a year it gets warm lol, never used mine while it was fitted, plus it used to stick it on if you put it on the windscreen as demists quicker..at the expense of £5 in fuel

Them Apexi Dual Funnel filters are much much better than a K&N.. Proven results and nice and compact in your engine bay. Its not size its quality as the man said lol, never the woman!
