Hi, theres obviously a reason they're coming off. Check the inside of the pipes/hoses, if they're greasy this could indicate an oil leak from the Turbo seals, and would explain the hoses slipping off. If this is not it then look at new hoses or upgrade to silicon ones. They might have stretched. Get yourself some better hose clamps anyway.

I would follow steve's advice to the letter mate. Sounds like the pipes have stretched or maybe the clamps are weak.

Bets bet is to clean the inner walls of the pipes at all connection points and then slip them back on, put the original clips in place and then give the pipes a tug (but not excessive) and if they slip of, you need to get new clamps (make sure the clamps are in the right place first though!!!!). If the pipes are stretched you would get pressure loss anyway and know about it.

The smart way is silicone hose, might cost a bit but you WILL know where your money has gone when it comes to trying to slip them on or off!!!!

Let me know how you get on buddy.

Thats fantastic advice guys thank's very much, i shall try it out.
I have lost a considerable amount of power also, wud this be due to the loss of preasure if the pipes were streatched??
sorry if that sound dumb but this is my first High Performance car & i have little knowlege of the inn's & out's... PLUS i am female LOL ;)

Hi Danii,
just noticed that you recently bought the car. The loss of pressure is down to the pipes being loose. It does not necessarily mean that they are stretched. I have a feeling that your hoses are silicone.
Can you tell me, are the pipes coloured or black??? I think they are coloured.
We can take it from there and i will give you step by step instructions on what to do.

Check your dump valve and make sure that the pressure pipe is connected too. In fact it would be best first off to check all the pipes and make sure that they are connected sturdily.
Also, if you have not had an oil service then it would be best to change the oil and oil filter and the gear oil whilst your at it, you never know what its running on when you buy a car.

Better to pay low now then high later on!!!!

Hi, Like ElDopesta says, If you experiencing a big loss in power this could be because your leaking pressure from the hoses. Having said that, if they are 'popping off' it seems they are not so much leaking as just stretching, then bursting.... This would cause a power loss but not a huge amount. I suspect something else might be going on in there...

Again like ElDopesta says, worth getting a full service with oil change as a minimum. Ask them to look at your turbo seals if oily inside hoses, check dump valve for sticking or leaks. As with all high performance cars, they are tuned so much that they are liable to little things occasionally going wrong. If you've only just got it, you never really know the history or what previous owners have 'tuned/played with'

Im in North London so i have no ideas about specialist garages near you, but im sure you can find one.

Good luck and hope its nothing serious. Steve

Ryt guys, i also have an issue with the ecu light bein on! its coming up as idle speed control when hooked upto diagnostics. And i was told today tht when the ecu is on it put the car into "limp home mode" im guessin now tht this is why i have no power!
as for the turbo pipes i have checked them all and as ar as i can see they are all conected where they should be etc but i hav noticed around where the clamps are the pipes seam to be fraying a bit. :S
the pipes are'ent the colourd pipes they are the black pipes, so i dont know what type of pipes tht would be & if they be the right pipes for the job

Hi D,
I presume the chaps that have run the diagnostic have rectified the fault for you?

If that is not the case then please get back to me and i will help you out.

As for the original problem, black hoses are ok if your car is standard or running around 20 more horses. Your car is running far more than that so i suggest you get silicone.

You will not go wrong with Samco, they are expensive but worth every penny.
If you struggle to find them where you live then reply back and i will point you in the right direction.

If you do find them locally then let me know what they are costing you, just in case your getting ripped off.

You def are loosing pressure from them as a standard diagnostic will not pick up pressure loss, it will be defined as idle control (the pressure loss affects the idle control as the car is not getting the correct amount of oxygen required to idle or throttle the way it needs to).

This will lead to the engine tripping into limp mode.

Keep us posted please.
