idle control valve

hi lads and lassys and you lee can any body tell me if a vii throttle body idle control valve fit and work on a iv inlet manifold as my iv one i think is downnot had much luck with this car:cry::wtf:

My point i was trying to make was that too many people/members just write 'i don't know, sorry' or just make up an answer, which gives an alluded view on where the right answer is. I'd rather it be harsh and have facts than a mollycoddled view just to make people happy.
