Right am doing a bit off fault finding on my evo. It's miss firing on boost. I have changed the spark plugs and its still miss firing. Will changing the ht leads fix it and if so what's the best leads too go for and where do I get them. Thanks.

What boost are you running? And what plugs did you fit? I'd go with magnecor KV85 leads but i wouldn't like to say thats your problem just yet...

have you gapped the plugs? fixed my misfire when i very first increased my boost level lol

Well I turned down my boost too 1.2bar and its not doing it what the explanation :(

basically the extra air being forced in the combustion camber is blowing the spark out. , Mine did this when i went over 1.4 bar closed the gap upto 20thou and has been fine ever since even gone as far as 1.8bar in past with no cutting back.

But coils or leads could still be at fault if they putting out a weak spark! Get a feeler gauge then gap the plugs and see what happens

I have gaped the plugs to the recommended spec of 0.8 there cold 7 ngk plugs that I have put in it

Cool I will give that a try. That's what I will do tomorrow need too fit a turbo to ma s13 anyway lol.

Yip. Blow the turbo up last week at crail. So need too get that fixed before the next practice day :(.

If your running higher boost than standard switch to ngk bpr8es plugs they will keep firing through a holocaust!
