when i had my scooby i treated it to a can of 95 octane, took it down a back lane and torched it.

Yes they do donuts if your very aggressive & the 6 speed is far stronger than any EVO box that's for sure..As you can tell I like my Scoobs. Baffled sump to help stop spinning a shell & keep it above a quarter tank of fuel no probs. I've never blown a Scoob engine or had any probs with a 6 speed box (5speed are not so good). £ per bhp there very hard to beat. 2 months time we are off to the Ring 30 cars all Scoobs & me in the only Evo. Don't get me wrong I love my Evo on track but as an all rounder the Scoobs are better. Just my own opinion after owning quite a few of each. Shall I put my coat on now?
PS as Clarkson said he knows the Evo is a better car but he always drove the Scoob home.

Your right well almost, that quote came from the Stig. I love both the rally reps,it's just the Scoobs always come off sounding unreliable normaly by people who have never had one or dont understand them. Early imported classics not mapped for uk fuel normally went bang allot & of course they all had 5sp boxes so most of the bad rep came from them. Have you heard of a Scoob busting a transfer box? Or a diff? Common things to bust on Evos. Gearbox's Scoobs 5sp & Evo 6sp both not so good. Saying that my 6sp is still good touch wood even at my bhp. Anyway I will shut up now. Lee5 has been working on my diff controller brain thingy on the Evo so off to see what it can do. Looking forward to this
