Hi guys my rear brakes have the most horrible squeal under braking when warm:confused: it had new discs and pads 1k ago before I bought it so there ok . I put copper grease on the back of the rear pads today it was a little better but it's still there when braking it's horrible and it sounds like an old banger lol has anyone any solutions to this :)

If they're standard pads then they shouldn't be squealing. Are the shims in behind the pads?

I get this plenty... New drilled and grooved discs and new pads in mine and only got worse. Granted; they're Red Stuff pads which are quite hard, but they were squealing with standard pads too... I'm going to have the pads shaved at the initial edge which is basically slightly rounding off the leading edge of the pad. This "should" stop or reduce it quite a lot. I'll let you know when it's done and if it's worked as I've got a couple of other ideas...

Eighther take it out for a good hard drive & see how you get on. Really get them hot just like you did when bedding them in. The discs may have contamination on them you can't see & a good heat cycle may sort it . Also stop with the cooper ease & try mintex CERATEC . You can get this off eBay for about £3.00 It works.:)
