hi, can anyone help me,

basically i took my car for a drive, pulled good no problems what so ever.
i stopped the car for 5 mins and drove off again, then the car started juddering on acceleration under load, nearly made it cut out at a roundabout.

i basically had to accelerate very slowly feathering the clutch alot to pull off and go through the gears.

if i accelerated too much it sounded odd, bogged down and on one occasion a small pop from the exhaust.

it did this once a little while ago but only at high revs now its all the rev range

any replies would be greatly appreciated.
dan.

i didn't notice any..too busy trying to keep it going!

i have a compression tester.

it seems like its not firing correctly, i thought it maybe heat build up after stopping making something play up?

was it after a real good thrash that its started?

I do a quick compression test to rule out a cooked piston.

while your there have a look at the condition of the plugs too.

What happens right now when you start the car and let it idle???

Is it fine or is it trying to cut out/running erratic???

ive just went out in it, started fine, i pulled off slowly then it did it again, not quite as bad though.
i pulled over about 100m down the road, popped the hood, gave a tap on the plug cover (ha ha), wiggled the wiring at each end of the plug cover for the coils, pushed the injector connectors down, revved the car a bit, then tried again....

its running fine now :wtf:

When you do it yourself, you need to take a little time on it.

Always ensure that the coil packs/HT leads are on, not just on but give them a tap with your ratchet!!!

If it does it again later on, get back to us right here buddy.

its done it before i ever touched anything in that area, the last time i checked the plugs last week i was very meticulous with putting everything back but then it did run ok after doing that too, i thing i better check all the connections so they connect tightly, perhaps closing the female parts up slightly for a more secure fit.

It is always good to do the checks and ensure that everything is tight.

You only bought the car a couple of weeks back so you should check everything as soon as possible for piece of mind.

If it ever happens again, pull over right away and see if it does it at idle, if so, remove the MAF connection and see if it helps.

If it runs better then it is the MAF that is the cause of it all.
