Hi

I am new to the forum.

Bought my first Evo iv yesterday - have always wanted one, it's been my dream car since I first saw one. My first car at 17 was a Mini 1275GT (not the usual mini 1000) and it went on from there really.

As I got older I moved on to things like: Metro GTi, Metro Turbo, Mini Turbo conversion, Mini K series engine conversion, Rover 620Ti, Rover Coupe (do like rovers tbh),Rover 400 Turbo engine transplant, Mondeo ST24, BMW 325, Honda Civic Type R GT (New Shape). Had a few sheds along the way as well...

I also have a MG ZR (I am a driving instructor and use that, used to teach in the Type R - yes, really...) We also have a PT Cruiser 2.4, we need a car with lots of space as we have 3 parrots that need transporting in their cages when we go on holiday and my husband and I also are both guitarists who play in bands. Oh yes, forgot to mention that I am female!

My own DIY skills are fair to middling (yorkshire phrase) and I do tinker a bit myself. I am quite good with bodywork rather than mechanical side of things. My ex husband is a mechanic which is why I managed to have quite a few conversions and modded cars over the years. Unfortunately my husband is completely useless with a set of spanners or anything like that so lets hope my new car doesn't need a lot of work doing...

The Evo is pretty much standard and seems in reasonable condition. Needs a little bit of TLC and a new set of wheels as it has oversized wheels on that scrub a bit. I don't want to do too much to it as I love the cars as they are. But I know that the modifying bug will probably hit me soon. In fact, I might just go have a quick look at that well known auction site...

Look forward to meeting you all at shows etc.

Rae (& Arthur the none mechanical hubby)

PS. I also have a business making soap - a bit more girly

Thanks to everyone for the nice welcome.

Will get some pics up when it comes back from the garage. It's having a big service & cam belt as I have no idea when any of that stuff was done....
