Hi all I'm the proud owner if my first evo it's a 4 had it 6 weeks unfortunately last tues the engine have up so I'm looking to rebuild it and help with parts needed and so on would be greatly appreciated I would like to see 350-400 bhp if possible

Best bet if it's a 4 block is to start a fresh with a 5-8 engine. But the 6-8 engines would probably be the best if you consider a rod job.

The 4 block isn't the best design and are (some will argue) a little prone to failure. In particular crank walk, that was solved from the evo 5 onwards.

Bad news about the engine!!!

As advised by others, do not rebuild the 4 block, it is prone to failure.

By the time you have thrown money into a rebuild, you will no doubt find that it would have been easier to just get a decent replacement block.

The 4 block will inevitably fail, even if it's rebuilt from scratch. Take your time, save some money and then make your move when you are ready to do so.
