Hi ppl, I bought an evo 6 bought a year ago of a friend but havnt got round to working on it yet as it has an engine problem so thought this would be the best place for advice as its my 1st evo ever owned, iv had few subaru sti,s before but I hear the evo is a different animal all toghter

The guy that sold it said most likely the engine is knocking, when its started it will make a knocking sound and as u rev it will get louder, bits of the engine have been forged its got wiseco forged piston set 86mm, JE SRP FPK 85.5mm 2 liter, K1T rods GEN 2 LW H beam 150mm, 2x ACL bearing set MITSU, I don't actually no how much of this has survived as I havnt had it properly checked, but it did come with some neat mods induction kit, evc boost controller straight through decat stainless steel, dump valves, and boost. And oil gauges
