hello everybody!! thought i'd say hello and get involved with a new site!!

saying bye bye to my corsa vxr, ive tuned her up as best I can without going threw the roof with money. I would keep her, but to get more out the car i'd be looking into the 5 grand mark ish. so I've scrapped the idea of more mods to the vxr, sell it and use my funds towards an epic piece of kit. this led me to an evo.....more specificly an evo 8 MR FQ320, buying one tuned and doing more to it will see a better and quicker car than my corsa ever will be :)

soim on this site, without an evo but I want to whey up the pros and cons, get advise etc and then when its finally time go and pick one. things like constant problems, things go wrong etc. eg piston 4 failure on the corsa was a big problem, internals made of chocolate, gearbox made like a rich tea biscuit etc etc. I wanna buy an evo and know what im letting myself in for and any advise from you guysalong the way would be great :D

heres my corsa:

and this is the evo ive been looking at:

any help would be great cheers guys

Welcome over mate, you wont be disappointing in evo performance, there's loads of good people that are willing to help out with any problems you may occur along the way. :D

Welcome mate :) iv had a few quick vauxhalls and had troubles with all of them :( had my evo over a year now it's the longest iv ever had a car and I don't intend on swapping it any time soon, if you buy a good one with service history and keep on top of it you shouldn't have any major issues :D buy one you won't look back haha

I'm not sure, what's the procedure buddy? Is it something you can do out your garage or would the car need to come to you? Suppose if I'm parting with my cash they should let me test what I want lol

Yh basic checks should be allowed, 60k is fine if its been maintained properly, unfortunately not new cars anymore. Looks a clean example and looked after pal

the car isn't that far away from where NTS is, so maybe they'll let me take it down unless simon can perfom this test at there shop?
